Dog Training Liability Waiver and Release Aggreement

Terms and Conditions

1. Assumption of Risk:

I understand that participation in dog training sessions carries inherent risks, including but not limited to injury to persons, dogs, or property damage. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my dog’s participation in training sessions conducted by Thoughtful Paws Dog Training (John McKay).

2. Release of Liability:

I agree to waive, release, and discharge Thoughtful Paws Dog Training (John McKay) from any claims, damages, or legal actions resulting from my participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

3. Indemnification:

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Thoughtful Paws Dog Training (John McKay) from any claims, damages, or costs arising from any injury, damage, or loss caused by my dog, including but not limited to attorney fees and court costs.

4. Veterinary Authorization:

In the event of an emergency where I cannot be contacted, I authorize Thoughtful Paws Dog Training (John McKay). to seek medical or veterinary attention for my dog at my expense. N/A____________

5. Owner Representation:

I certify that my dog is in good health, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has not exhibited aggressive behavior unless previously disclosed in writing.

6. Training Outcomes:

I acknowledge that dog training is not guaranteed and depends on various factors, including the dog’s behavior, temperament, and owner compliance with training recommendations.

7. Media Release (Optional):

I consent to the use of photos or videos of my dog taken during training sessions for promotional or educational purposes.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and any legal disputes will be resolved in the appropriate court of jurisdiction.

9. Severability:

If any provision of this agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
